UPCOMING TOUR, NEW BAND, AND OTHER NEWS!!!

I was looking at my site ad realized that I haven’t written any blog entries for quite awhile and it looks like that means I’m breaking one of the first rules of social marketing: always update your blog entries! I guess my friend Geoff, a media savvy kinda guy, would be pretty disappointed in me.
So here goes my first entry in a long time.

I have a few things to announce: I am part of a great little instrumental surf trio, going by the name The Reverb Raiders, with a couple great musicians from Montreal; Hugo Joyal(Jaguar guitar) and Olivier Pomerleau(upright and electric bass).
We have done some great shows up to this point and we have some really cool shows coming up in the next few weeks that are definitely worth checking out.
Here the poster for the upcoming show on November 17th at The Bull Pub in Montreal:

I have also begun playing with a great Toronto band called Dany Laj and The Looks. You may have heard of them. Its a solid little power pop trio that is making great waves throughout Canada. I started by playing a few fill ins at Barfly on St. Laurent, and now they need a sub to head out on an eastern tour with them from November 19-25. They asked me, and I gladly accepted.

Some other recent news as well:

I filmed a great little video with The Jimmyriggers for our song ‘Sleepwalking’ off the latest album ‘I Stand In The Weeds’. It was a great shoot and we filmed it at our favourite watering hole Grumpys bar. I will be sure to mention when it debuts.

Other than a whole lot of great shows throughout the summer and fall; I dont have a whole lot more to report. Thanks for following along with my whole free-thinking-writing, and please feel free to leave as many comments as you want. Otherwise I feel like I’m writing this thing to no-one. Heh heh.

Here is the video portion of my appearance with The Jimmyriggers in Montreal on The Kaufman Show, 990 AM on March 19th, 2012. It was a great interview, and a lot of fun. We had a blast!

A great band I am in, CerAmony, has debuted our first official video for a great anthemic rock song called “Looks Like Change(To Me)” and we have gotten close to 3000 views. By the time you read this we hope to have surpassed that mark. We are all hoping to hit the 5000 mark by weeks end. Ya gotta dream right?

Here is the video for everyone to watch: Looks Like Change (To Me)

This is a great start to a very interesting time for the band. In just under a week we will be gracing the stage at Montreals Bell Centre, home of the Habs, for a great show in front of roughly 12,000 people. This will be the largest crowd I have had the pleasure of playing in front of and consequently will also be the biggest room I have ever played.
You can find out more about the show by clicking here: L’Heure Des Enfants.

We have just added my most favourite bass player, Shian Ramjohn, to the lineup and the gravity he adds to the live show is astounding!! You have to hear him (and see his amazing skill) to really know how great he is. Welcome o the team Shi!!

More news and tour videos to follow as it happens.
